Vanilla Coke or Vanilla Pepsi?

I was just curious if the majority of people who have tried both like one over the other? I'm not a big soda drinker, but I did try Vanilla coke when it came out and I thought it tasted terrible. It has a bad after-taste, and i'm serious when I say that I believe it taste very similar to Pepto-Bismal ...lol...I didn't like it at all.

Anyway, I didn't even realize there was a Vanilla Pepsi, but I saw it today and decided to grab one. To my surprise, Vanilla Pepsi tasted damn good. There was no aftertaste and you could clearly taste that vanilla flavor. As far as i'm concerned, there is no question, Vanilla Pepsi tastes much better then Vanilla coke.

And if I did have to choose between regular pepsi and regular coke, i'd choose regular coke.

Anyway, just curious what anyone who has tried both of these soft drinks thinks

Never tried Vanilla Pepsi. I think me and my brother are the only ones at work who like Vanilla Coke.

That is honestly exactly how I felt when I tried it. Every sip was like drinking medicine. I tried the Vanilla Pepsi yesterday and every sip tasted so damn good. As a matter of fact, I think it's the best soda i've ever drunk in my life...i'd put it at a tie with Dr. Brown's.

I don't drink much soda...but I think regular coke is much better then regular pepsi...but man..that Vanilla Pepsi is no joke...great tasting soda..empty calories..but for that taste..it's worth it. :P

Actually, it taste very similar to cream soda..unlike Vanilla Coke. But the taste is even better..because it's got that cream flavor....I didn't even know they had a Vanilla Pepsi...but it didn't say "new" on it...so I guess it's been out for a while. I saw it in a Publix supermarket.....go to your local supermarket and look closely in the soda section...you should see it.

I haven't tried either, call me prejudiced but the very sound of it repulses me. Mafia guy crushing my neck through a hole in the wall or no... Vanilla belongs in milkshakes, cola flavour in soft drinks. A vanilla soft drink sounds about as nice as a cola milkshake. You ever tried to mix the two? Lumps everywhere.

Maybe it was that vanilla ice-cream / coca-cola cream-soda-float thing I once tried and hated that's soured me on the whole thing. Nice idea, started well, but tasted awful once halfway through and the aftermath certainly wasn't pretty.
