Well this one is very weird for me. I'm able to use the 007 version with no problems so far, but can't seem to be able to split an AVI file correctly.
My movie is around 3h long, so my AVI file is 2.69G. In the filter tab, I'm entering 90 minutes 00 seconds for the "split time". ffmpeg creates the 1st split file correctly (about 1.31G) but the second file end up with more than 2.69G....bigger than the source !. I'm probably missing something very elementary...but just can't figure it out.
If ffmpeg is not the right software to split this AVI file, which one should I use ?
Thanks for all your help,
JR

Well I seem to be having the same problem. Using ffmpegX 0.0.7d with the latest binaries. I'm trying to split a 740MB file into 700+40 for CD archiving. The specs on my AVI are:
Video: XVID, 503x364, 30 fps & mp3
Audio: 128 kbps, 48 kHz Stereo
It makes the first chunk just fine, then the second one keeps going for along time then getting info on it shows it to be a 760MB file and rising, then ffmpeg crashes. The second part upon reviewing starts over from the beginning of the file again.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks a bunch!
