problems of burning! but don't know where the source of prob

first i have a pioneer 106 writer, software i use are

DVDDecrypter
instantCD
dvdshrink V.2

on some odd occassion when i burn a movie and play it on a PS2 or DVD player after a few charpters the film will stop and then it will say

Disc un-readable

i'm using datawrite 4x but i don't know where the problem is?? is it the software that i use or is it the media? or is it my DVD Writer???

i'm going to get some new blank DVD-R soon but just wondering have any1 experience this sort of problem before.

1. try burning at a lower speed

2. try a different media
