Does it make any sense to capture video from a Hi8 camcorder with high resolution settings??? I have been capturing video directly from my Hi8 camcorder at resolutions of 640x480 with good results, but wonder if the 640x480 is over kill. What is the actually resolution that a Hi8 camcorder records the video at? Will I get as good of qualty even if i bump my video settings down to a resolution of 352x240?
I guess the real question is:
Your burned DVD's will only be as good as the source video, so is a setting of 640x480 really doing me any good when my original source is a Hi8 camcorder?
Thanks

What camera model are you using and what resolution does it say it uses in the owner manual under technical specifications? No need to capture higher than this resolution.
