  1. Hello All,
I desperately need this forum help. I recently reformatted my HD and reloaded Win XP PRO. That is when all hell broke loose. None of my rippers, encoders will work now. They all terminate or crash my system.I have reformatted and reload XP from total system crash numerous times.
I am using a Athlon 1.2 G system with 768 MB ram. I have a seagate 40 Gb HD with a Pioneer 16x dvd rom and A104 burner.
Here is what I have tried so far with no results..
1.Used force aspi with no results.
2.Used win98 aspi with the same results.
3.Smart Ripper never gets past VOB 01..system reboots.
4.DVD decrp will rip the DVD but the resulting file can't be read by CloneDVD or any other encoder including Shrink.Used both File and Ifo modes.

I finally changed the IDE settings to Pio mode and smart rip work but at on 1x or below speeds. Also all processing takes forever.I have spent the last week trying all different fixes from reading all the post but with no results. All the programs work very well before with no issues.I am at the end of my rope. What am I missing here? BTW DVDx copy express worked but it can't do my foreign films with subtitles even though the sub was selected so its useless for those films. Any help from will be greatly appreciated. I have spent numerous hours on this problem for the last week.Thank you.

  2. I DO NOT WISH TO TEACH YOU TO "SUCK EGGS" MATE, BUT HAVE YOU INSTALLED THE LATEST DRIVERS FROM YOUR DVD-R DRIVE MANUFACTURER AND TO USE THE LATEST VERSIONS ON THE DVD COPYING PROGS THAT YOU USE???

SECONDLY MATE I BELEIVE THAT WINXP-PRO DOES NOT HAVE AS MUCH DRIVERS FOR DVD-R DEVICES AS THE "HOME EDITION"...PERHAPS TRY TO INSTALL THE "HOME EDITION" TO SEE IF IT SOLVES YOUR PROBS

    HOPE THIS HELPS
