Just installed a Radeon card in the wife's machine (no capture). It comes with ATI MMC 7 which I upgraded to 7.1 since the software is so lame - 7.1 no different.
Problems:
- No Video CD 2.0 Support (just a Can't play dialog) just VCD 1.1
- No SVCD support (not recgnized by VCD or DVD players)
- Lame DVD player (no screen cap etc)
Anyone else have problems?

From the comments by various radeon Card users, I get the impression that with the new Radeon Card, one would not be able to view home-made VCDs of one's family videos using a software DVD/VCD Player. Is this true? Since you have already tested this aspect, I would find your experience valuable.
I am asking this question because, one does not find any categorical warning to this effect from ATI for potential buyers of the Radeon card. Since I am migrating to Pentium IV, the motherboard for which supports only 4G graphic
display cards, I am going to be forced to install ATI's 4G radeon card. And that means all the family videos which I now have on VCDs will become un-viewable due to the unavoidable change to Radeon.
Is it possible that the problem which some users are expressing is because of some other factors and nothing to do with the alleged integration of Microvision into the harware or software associated with the Radeon card?
Would any correspondent who is using Radeon and had no problems viewing VCDs made at home, give an idea of the HW SW platform he/she is using to make it feasible?
