So from a bunch of videos that i've shot, that i have now put onto dvd, i want to take clips and put them on the net.

How would i go about doing this?
What are good programs to convert dvd video files to mpegs. And then what should i convert to to post on the net. I'm looking for formats that will keep stuff fairly small and still looking pretty. I've been quite happy wtih window medias files. what are programs that can convert mpeg to that?
