  1. Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to downsize an MPEG. I have read the FAQS and couldn't really find anything. I have also found many of the coversion guides about converting to different video formats. I guess I want to convert within a video format so to speak. I have many mpeg files which are too big to burn as a VCD but not big enough to justify two discs. Some of them I would like to shave off only 40 megs or so but don't want to loose any footage by triming the mpeg. Is there a way to resize mpegs to make them smaller. i am aware that this will probably mean some quality loss but I can live with that. Thanks for any help.

Well, if you reduce the bitrate of a VCD MPEG to make it fit on one CD-R, it becomes an XVCD, and may not work on your player. Check the DVD player database and see if your player supports XVCDs. If it does, try this guide.
    Hello.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply Tommyknocker, but unfortunately my sony DVP-NS325 doesn't support XVCD.

I guess there is no other way to make these mpegs smaller eh?

I would do a forum search here, but it is currently disabled and google hasn't given me anything useful.

Any other sugessstion would be welcomed.
