I have sent this feature request to apple:

"Please make iDVD3 output it’s project to a folder called “VIDEO_TS” instead of burning the project to DVD.
This feature will be so useful. We would preview the project using Apple’s DVD player to see if we like how the projects go. If not, then we would make some changes.
Since we can’t output it to “VIDEO_TS” folder, we would burn to DVD, and if we don’t like it, then, the burnt DVD is a waste and it costs us money."

Can you guys make another one(your own words) and send this feature request to apple?
I think the more people will send, apple will listen.

I think export to video_ts would be nice. Wont Toast 6 support idvd projects?

i wonder how it will do that, if it does.

EDIT: thast something new..... i type in Toast and it automaticlly adds a comment link!

so the solution is to just wait until 6.0 comes out.

but perhaps with iDVD 4.0 they will put in an export option.

It's probably not the reason puma wants this feature, but a lot of times, I'll preview with iDVD before burning, and everything looks good. Right when iDVD finishes burning the dvd-r, I see that iDVD moved all my menu buttons (typically up and to the right). If I slide the buttons back into position and burn again without exiting iDVD, the second burn looks good. Guess if I was smarter I would've been burning test disks to dvd-rw first. Argh.

there is a way to "trick" it into accepting a dvdrw.
It has somethign to do with putting a dvdr in and ejecting it before the burn swaping it with a dvdrw. Im not sure on the exact procedure at the moment, but ill look it up.

or maybe someone remembers the 1.2.3 on how to do this. I know it can be done!
