  1. I have encoded an avi to mpg2 using CCE 2.62

    Spec
    3 pass VBR
    Average 2608
    min 1000
    Max 9000

When i play the burnt DVD on pc it plays beautifully but on stand alone it shows up all wavey an lines etc especially on scene transtions and movement.

My question is does this problem occur from the bitrate going from low to high??? hence it play's fine on my pc due to buffering and DVD rom being able to read much more data then a standalone at one pooint in time

The souce was a vhs should i even go that high in max bitrate....the movie is 3 hrs long hence the lower bitrate in order to fit on DVD-r....

Post a sample frame. It's probably field order.

What makes you think that you have a bitrate spike? Did you view your bitrates in Bitrate Viewer?

A DVD is read at a constant 26.13Mbps data rate, so there shouldn't be any problems with high bit rates. You probably have a problem with the structure of your creation.

Also, 2.6Mbps is a little slow even for a three hour video. I would imagine that 3Mbps would be more optimal, which would leave about 500+ Meg for the audio and menus.

  5. this error only occurs when i resize using Avisynth 2.5. Are then any mulitmedia settings that could effect it .

    the script is basic

    AVISource("C:\CAPTURE.AVI")
    Trim(10000,12000).Fadeout(120)
    Crop(8,2,338,558)
    LanczosResize(352,576)

    I just don't get it

This also occurs when i have used avisynth 2.07

  6. Maybe your captureprogram is deinterlacing on the fly? when you load the file into TMPGEnc it will make all necessary changes in Source Type on its own. It's usually right......
