  1. I wanted to make a backup copy of my favourite indian movie. The size of the original DVD was just 3.84GB and I thought it was not essential to decrypt and compress the movie so that it wud fit on my 4.7 GB imation DVD+R disc.I used nero 5.5.10.28 to create the backup. When I load my DVD on to my laptop,i'am able to see the initial warning but for some wierd reason my DVD doesnt play the menu and this further doesn't allow me to choose and play the feature. When i go to TITLE 1 and try to play the chapters which has the movie......the system hangs

I have previuosly made some 15 backups and I think this is my first coaster. Can any of you suggest me of some way to play the feature. Can anyone also tell me what the problem is

Even though you don't have to compress the movie...you still have to decrypt it. The movie files are copyprotected....the warning probably isn't....so when you play the movie you get the warning and thats it.

Either a: use a decrypting program to rip it to your hard drive and then use nero to make a dvd video

    or
b: use ANYDVD to decrypt on the fly and to a disc to disc copy

Either way you do it.....it entails decrypting the dvd

  3. as coyote said, you do NOT need to compress, but you DO need to remove the encryption.
