  1. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but since this occurs only after cutting the file, I figured this forum was better than the audio forum. My problem is after I cut a file in half to create an SVCD on 2 cd's, the sound at the end of each clip stops playing. The video continues, but not the sound. The sound is in sync with the video, so I don't see why it would clip one and not the other. Also, even though I cut a file at one point, it adds about 20 seconds to the file. For example, if I cut a 90 minute movie at 45 minutes and zero seconds, the movie will actually be ~45 minutes and 20 seconds. Then when I watch the movie, about the last 10 seconds of the 45:20 has no sound. I guess the extra 20 seconds isn't too much of a problem, I could just start the other half 20 seconds later, but the sound not playing is a problem. Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot.

  2. TMPG is notorious for cutting wrong. It's better to use other software, such as MPEG2Cut.

  3. I had the same problem and I think the reason you're having the problem is that the video is encoded with a Variable Bite Rate (I read this on some forum). I don't know the if it's a setting with TMPGEnc or a bug. I would use a different program to split the file, like MPEG2Cut or Womble MPEG-VCR.

    Womble MPEG-VCR
