  1. Hi, I'm new to capturing. I would like to convert my old video tape(VHS) to VCD. The idea is to use either a passthrought function of my camcoder (have dv in/out and av in/out and s-video) to capture the vhs video tape to PC via firewire or record directly to dv tape in camcoder, so I can later copy it via firewire to PC.

But I have no way to setup the connection between VCR(2 EU SCART and one front AV(RCA)) and Camcoder (S-Video, AV(RCA)). I try to connect the AV (VCR RCA) to AV (Camcoder RCA). But No signal. Seems AV(RCA) if VCR is only for INPUT.

Any idea to setup the connection? (VCR -> Camcoder).

By the way, the direction Camcoder -> VCR works (via RCA)

    Thanks in advanced

  3. it's philips. There are two SCART connectors in the back. bb from doom9 told me I may need the SCART-RCA adapter. I'll try it.
    Thanks anyway
