  1. So here we go - the process to get here was rather extreme but I finally got a dual audio " vob " file

how did I get there ??? alright

I had one divx file( picture and english sound ) and a mp3 audio file ( german )

I run the divx trough TMPGenc to create a m2v and the mp2 file .

I converted with besweet the english and german files into AC3 files

Ifoedit created the next step and vobmerge made one file out of them - finally I got dvdlab for the compilation .

Now I did try to create a dvd with TMPG DVD Author but when I select " bilingual " it gives me some errors about that you cant reencode the ac3's

when I start the vob itself than power-dvd starts and plays fine - I can switch the two languages

    What now ????????

  2. What was this next step, IFOEdit created? After authoring with IFOEdit You should have been ready to burn.

Nope, IfoEdit is just the way:add the video and both ac3 tracks, edit the language properties (like assigning 0x80 to the English and 0x82 to the German track) and let ifoedit do the rest.
You are ready to burn your DVD then.

  8. @ Dragonsf

seems to be that you are about right up to a certain point - both languages are present and switchable , POWER DVD playes it and my PS2 as well but my Panasonic DVD will not even see the DVD - and there seems to be here and there some slight freeze-ups

  10. Seems like media problem.

I use Nero 5.5.14 and never had problems (but some have!). I just don't like to generate image.
