I am impressed with the detail layout and easy understanding of this tool.
But... for the life of me, I cannot get it to work on my DVD+R media.
THe video is great. The audio blanks out after every 5 seconds for about 2 seconds. This goes on throughout the movie on every movie that I burn. Lots of coasters.... If I burn from DVD to DVD its great using DVDXCOPY. Please help....

I have dell p4 2.4 with 512 meg rdram. Anyone else having problem like this? Why can't I get any of these programs to run right??

Hi everyone,
Overloaded_ide wrote above"If you want a music only (as background with a still image), make a movie of a still image the duration of your music and play that"
Can someone please tell me how I can do this?
I would like to have a still image in the background with just music playing. How can I create this?
Also how can I create subtitles and aslo a credits page and add them to my movies?
Any help would be appreciated,

I have found a way to use Tmpgenc DVD Author output with dvd shrink to compress it if dvd is too -big(usually it doesnt accept it)
I patched vob files made with Tmpgenc DVD Author to 480 horizontal res(entire file) and then open with dvd shrink and it it works -

As i wrote and other people too-Tmpgenc DVD Author output gives an error in dvd shrink if u want 2 compress a dvd folder made with it if u patch vob files with dvd patcher as i said to 480res -dvd shrinks as well as changes back to 353hor res

Hi,
When I click the "Begin Output" button it creates the DVD folder and quits the prog.
I've fed it with compliant VCDs, which I've done before (and it worked).
What's wrong?
Cheers,

hi everyone, dont know if anyone still checks this post but i have a problem and i need help.... i like TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR alot b/c its a really easy program that is jus a simple 3 step process that u cant possibly get lost. i can create n do everything just fine. but i have 1 big problem and dont know how to fix it. when i convert mpg file to the dvd vob files... it reencodes my audio and messes it up. after it finishes encoding my whole audio is out of sync and it jus looks like a crappy burn. I already burned 2 things like that and now i'm hessitant to burn w/ this program again. Its a big problem for me and i was wondering if anyone know how to fix it.
again. i have audio sync problem after it converts my mpg file to vob, the audio is out of sync when its played n seems bad. ANY HELP WOULD B GREAT
THANKS! -
Simple straight forward user guide for dummies.
Author made it very easy for new users to follow his/her steps.

There is a way to take non-compliant DVD mpeg streams (480x480 or 544x480) and trick DVd Author to accept them and play in your DVD player. You use DVDPatcher. More in this thread.
http://forums.al7bar.tk/showthread.php?t=19366
In case you can't read that thread here it is:
After capturing the non-NTFS compliant Mpeg stream.
1. launch TMPGenc DVD Author 1.6 ... (NOTE: be sure you're using version 1.6)
2. click 'Create new project'
3. click 'Add file'
4. if errors are shown in RED (non-standard DVD resolution, etc) then,
4a. review errors shown, then click 'Cancel' button
4b. launch DVDPatcher 1.06, click 'Browse' button, and open the MPEG
4c. if necessary, reduce Bitrate to 8.0Mbit
4d. if necessary, increase Horizontal Size to 704 or 720 Pixels (I prefer using 704 Pixels)
4e. leave the rest as is
4f. make sure you're patching 'First header only', then click 'Patch now!'
4g. review Patch settings, and if correct, then click 'start'
4h. when patching has finished, DON'T close DVDpatcher
5. in TMPGenc DVD Author, click 'Add file' again to open your patched MPEG, then click 'Ignore' button (if video 'GOP is too long', etc) ... now the file should open without the RED errors. Click OK.
6. switch windows to DVDPatcher again and change Horizontal Size back to its original capture size, then 'Patch now!'. Close DVDpatcher.
7. in TMPGenc DVD Author make chapter marks, menus, etc., as needed, and then author the output. You can also burn directly from within TMPGenc DVD Author, or (as I prefer) use an external program such as Nero Burning ROM.
