Hello
I am a newbie as you can see![]()
I want to purchase an external dvd-rw drive asap and was wondering if it was possible to connect a Pioneer 106/105 etc to my laptop via firewire or USB2.0 ? I know there are plenty of external writers out there but from what I can gather from reviews etc that the major players e.g. Sony are having trouble with the cheaper branded dvdr media ?
All help is greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
AJ

I think you could just put the 105 drive into one of these cases and then you would have an external firewire and USB2 drive.

I also think that would do it but.... would you know for a uk stockist ? The shipping charges etc are very high for this and also customs or summit would reject it knowing my luck !
Thanks For your help
