Cecilio,
heh...still full of yourself eh??
shall i remind you of your first few postsand the nice yellow accessories you got as well

Cecilio,
Personally, I'm kinda disappointed. You were so hot to trot a month ot two ago, to teach "newbies" to convert their videos.
Here, a month later, you're sick and tired of "newbie" questions on the Forum.
Believe me, if you got into the video teaching, you would have heard all these "dumb" questions from each of your "students".
You kinda sound like my youngest kid did, at about your age. One summer vacation she was crying in bed, and asked me " Am I going to be bored the rest of my life?" I had to answer her, truthfully, that, yes, she would.
You seem to be bored with this whole subject, anymore.
Jeez, look at Sefy. He's been here since the beginning, and every post has " e-mail me for faster answers ". Not "click above to see if I accept e-mail ". You have a problem, he's happy to help.
If I were he, I'd try to set up some kind of auto responder that could identify the question, to answer the ones that are asked a thousand times, but don't think he has. He reads and answers.
And you are bored!?!?
As I said, disappointing. If you can't stand "newbies" on the Forum asking "dumb" questions, where you can close your browser and go to bed, what would you have done if you got a client who asked you the same thing, a stupid " newbie" question 10 times, and the next client asked you the same damn stupid " newbie " questions?
I think, when you do go to college, you set your sights on a different field than teaching. Good teachers are born, not made. They can't instill patience into an impatient person, and you seem way too impatient to me.
There are some others on this Forum who write " I do not suffer fools gladly" who would also not make good teachers. Teachers have to suffer fools. That is what a teacher does. Teaches a person who does not know, with much, much patience.
Poopyhead,
If you are still here, my apologies, not for taking this knowledge and making money from it, but for him not being the guy to do it.
Cheers,
George
Cecilio, I hope this doesn't get you into another spate of four letter words. Just the way I feel. -
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
hey whats up Gmatov, just so you know i do have respect for you. and i will not say anything to you, cause your right. but the difference is, that if i would teach it would be interactually with that person. like i went to my friends house and i thought him how for free, and it took me about only 2 hours and yea hes got it pretty good, he only asked me once again how to figure out the bitrate, whihc i responded use a bitrate calculator. but i was getting pms and he didnt know something and i told him. and he come out saying all these things, that i was searching in the search thing in the start bar. and it just pissed me off. its hard for me to explain something in words, i have to talk it and show it.

Cecilio-
For someone who is so bored with everything and has nothing more to learn
1) Learn to spell
2) Learn how to be more than just a one-dimensional teacher
3) Learn to be kind
4) Learn some respect
5) Learn to think twice before you post such ridiculous topics as this one
I guess you've revealed yourself for what you really are- a selfish little unteachable brat. -
Cecilio,
Hands on is the best way to teach anything that is not pure theory.
You are not teaching pure theory, so you have to interact with the pupil. If he asks a stupid question, you have to tell him to take notes, a teacher is not going to be there at all times to hold your hand.
Here, on the Forum, being world-wide, someone is always awake, and often, if he knows the answer, willing to answer.
Your friend should not have to ask you a second time, if he takes a note or two. Jeez, son, your own guide can be printed. When I tried it, I printed it from this computer, took it into the other room and referred to the clips to check that I was getting the right settings. It's only about 6 double sided pages. Either print the guide for him or show him how to do it.
It is self explanatory. It's pictures, for Pete's sake, way better than asking a question and getting a short paragraph of print, of which may or may not make heads nor tails of.
A "newbie" needs more help than the people who have been here a while need. They at least have the fundamentals. The guy/s you are trying to teach are absolute newcomers, no idea what they are doing. If they knew the fundamentals, they would know how to search for answers, and, most likely, would show up here, bye'm'bye.
So, you gotta put up with it. They ask a dumb question, give them the reference material, to, of course, refer to.
Don't get pissed over "dumb" questions.
Cheers,
George
edit: Poopyhead, Yes, I'd say we had a difference on his original idea. I still think it's a good idea, money or no money. I still think it's no different than learning here and doing peoples VHS to DVD ( personal VHS, wedding, b'days, etc ) and charging for it.
I think I should change the last line of my other to "he hasn't the patience for it " rather than " he's not the guy to do it". -
Cecilio, you are a true disappointment.
So now you know everything, huh? Well, golly, to think I wasted all that time telling you the legalities of video distribution and replication and DMCA analysis, and shucks, you could have just looked it up in a book, or hacked into a law site, or programmed yourself the answer. Gosh. What a waste.
Grow the hell up young man.
If everything is so boring, go buy yourself a capture card and a DVD burner and learn something else. Even I was able to learn a bit from these forums, and I know a heck of a lot about video.
Yeah, I'm not a teacher either. But I can at least deal with unknowledgable people. That's a mark of maturity. It's only stubbornness and arrogance that I cannot stand, at you wreak of it at this very moment.
If you don't like the forums... LEAVE! It's an option we can all exercise. I've been too busy as of recent to post here, and to be honest, I find I have more time again, and don't really miss it all that much. For the most part, I may leave too, for the most part, and for varying reasons. But you don't see me here bitching and moaning and whining. Just get up, turn off the computer, and LEAVE!
To all, FYI, I'm only here less these days because I'm done with my online projects at work, and browsing the Internet is not my idea of fun. This site was the place where I could escape when I developed a headache looking at the work, plus I enjoyed answering video questions for people because I had the answers they sought. It was a great few months, met some great people, some appreciative people, and was able to help quite a few individuals. It was worth it to me. But now it's on to something else, though I'm sure I'll come back every now and then.I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored. -
Man, did I miss something here?
Willtgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have. -

If you keep an open mind and help when asked you'll be amaized at how often you learn something. There's always a possibility that the newest of newbies may have something you didn't know or didn't realize - someone that is new will be looking at things from a very different perspective. -
Cecilio I am the same age as you. I think I know a lot about video but there is always someone who knows just that little bit more.
You are saying this site is so boring. That's because you feel you've learned everything you need to from here, but there are still newbies who want to learn and someone has to help them.
Why don't you write a few more guides to help them out and stop them asking the rediculous questions?
Or if you are really bored find a new hobby, or start up your own *expert* video discussion forum. If you say you are pissed with newbies what do you think others will think of you if you pick a new hobby and you are the newbie that everyone hates because you just can't work out that one simple thing that everyone else seems to know?
If you know so much now wait till Blu Ray becomes the new film medium and you have to learn all the specs for that. -

I give up! I've tried writing a meaninful reply to the context of this thread, but all I keep coming up with is something that would heinously violate the Forum Rules.
House of Indolikaa Rule Numero Uno: if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything. Rule Uno is now in effect. Damn shame, too. -
This kid is not an expert at anything, he came here a few months ago, stole the guides and went and made money off the forums hard work, now he has the audacity to come back here and slam the members and claim he knows everything.
Cecilio, most of what you know was spoonfed to you by other members out of sympathy and good intentions. Have fun in your ILLEGAL business. With your attitude you'll soon be broke and looking for work at Jack in the Box.
Moderators, may I suggest a lifetime ban on this member. This behavior is inexcusable for somebody that many tried to sincerely help. -
You will have to wait and see 8)
Baldrick already has 2 confirmed sponsers and is waiting on others. -
