This is not really my thing, to tell pipple they are being screwed royally by a gov who says you have to surrender a couple little liberties at a time, but you will be safer in the long run. Trust Me. They refuse to listen, so why bother?

I think I have gone that route in a few other threads that have been locked, too political.
Copying DVDs as backup is more or less "legal", depending on whether you are listening to the posters here, or to the powers that be. They say it is not, we say it is, and, I would bet you that they have not only more money to throw at the issue, they have more bought and paid for politicians in their pockets than all of us do.
We have lost, period. Orrin Hatch, of Utah, I am almost sure ( who, not what ) has proposed a bill authorizing the Media Moguls to send malicious code to your machine to, in his words, "Destroy your computer.... That would be equivalent to the most virulent virus that has hit the internet, yet. Not DDOS, but crash your machine. And he will be up for re-election, and he will be re-elected.
