    hi you knowlegable people.

When I try to convert an extracted AC3 file to WAV I get a "Bad Syncword" error. I am suspectimg the AC3 is corrupted.

I downloaded BeSplit to fix the AC3 file. However I am confused as to the command I need to type to fix it. I went through the examples.txt file and can't seem to find the right command with the switches.

    Can anyone please help me?

Use BeSplit. I did it yesterday to fix the extracted AC3 file. Then used headac3e to convert to a wav file.

  4. Hi,

You might wanna use ac3tool from the tools section on this site. Here's the link:

Did not try this one myself (yet), but it looks like a clever tool.

If you convert ac3 to wav do you not loose the 5.1 sound? I've tried to demux the ac3 using VirtualDubMod & then run it though ac3fix or Besliced, but I can't seem to work either of these programs, even when someone has given me clear instructions
