Considering upgrade to a 105/A05 Pioneer for 4X burning. My A04 has served me well (few hundred burned DVD's), however, I'd like to
cut the burn time down.. and the a05's are cheap these days.
My question is the media available for 4X burning. I've had some problems lately with the Ritek G03's and burning at 2X (end of a DVD
the movie breaks up - burning at 1x fixes the problem).
So of the cheaper (under say $1.60~ a disc) 4X media.. are there problems burning at 4X and play back on the end of the disc as
the movie approaches the 4gb region?
thanks

i'm not going to claim expertise in this area, as i have only burned a few dozen or so dvd-r, but i found that the ritek g04s from rima.com have burned fine in my pioneer a05 at 4X every time with no coasters, no breakups, and good quality.
just for your information, i use dvd decrypter to rip, dvd shrink to compress, and copytodvd to burn.
hope this helps. personally, i say invest the money. you can get a 4x pioneer a05 for $150 now.As I always say in this forum regarding DVD issues, and as is my motto in life: You get what you pay for!!
