    I recently asked Cyberlink if there was a way to either stop PowerVCR splitting it's recorded files at 650Mb or increasing the size.
    I was quite impressed when they replied the same day with a registry edit that allowed 2Gb files to be created.

    For anyone who's interested this is the key to set:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CyberLink\PowerVCR II]
    "MaxRecSizeMB"=dword:000007d0
