i have been following the guide at

    http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/DVD2ONE_I.htm

I rip the dvd with smartripper...the movie files only as discribed in the guide.
i highlight the movie and and got into files
    i Select VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO.
    then press start.

once completed i create two files AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS in the guide it says these must be in captials however once i have created the folder the text is coverted back to lower case.

i then open DVD2ONE i load in the source directory and the destination directory i press next,
i am then give a list of files the largest been 37mins i dont know whats going on here, i select that file i then select the audio,
press start then i get the error meaasge

    can anyone help,

It's been a while since I've used smartripper.

    I use dvd dycrypter https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=53#comments

It's really best to set mode to file and copy all files not just the movie file. Decrypter will automatically make the video_ts folder for you.

choose the folder created as source and point dvd2one to the new folder you want contents to be place in. personally I use dvd2one#1/VIDEO_TS.

then burn that VIDEO_TS file along with an empty AUDIO_TS.

  3. so i rip the dvd with DVD Decrypter as per this guide
    http://www.hkruse.dircon.co.uk/

    then open it with dvd2one?

    is this correct

  4. are you just ripping the movie only with dvd decrypter?

if so just simply put the folder in to dvd2one to shrink it down

Or even if you have ripped the whole Disc you put the folder in to dvd2one & then you can select movie only

    hope this helps

    yes, that is correct.

I'm sure smart ripper can do the same, but like I said, haven't used it for quite a while.

It's best to have all files available even if you only want the main movie.

dvd2one will choose what it needs, deoending if you want movie only or full disk.
