Hey Guys. The time has come to buy another 50x spindle of DVD-R's for the next round of movie making. I'd like to know, in everyone's opinion, which is the very best DVD-R media out there, and where to get it? I'd like to stay below $2 a disc if I could, and I'm using a Pioneer DVR-105 with DVD X Copy. I'd also like to have something faster then 1x if possible, otherwise I'm just going to get another spindle of the Verbatim Datalife. Thanks

  2. Here is a good deal on 4x DVD-R at $100 for 100 discs however I don't know how they perform on the 105 burner.

  3. I just finished using DVDPRO 4X at $1.17 each. I purchased a spindle of them and didnt have a coaster in the bunch. I use a Pioneer A05 and hadnt any problem getting a solid 4X speed throughout burning. No errors and I use it for burning videos. No problems with playback or standalone players playing this either as I have a few different brands of players in the house.

Does anyone know where the lowest price on the Verbatim DataLifePlus 4x DVD-R 50x spindle can be found? I've used Verbatim Datalife 1x's, and I like their reliability. Thanks

  7. I would agree, riteks are great. You should also consider BeAll's at Meritline.com. They are a great disc, as good as Ritek. Also, meritline is have a 20% off sale on BeAll 4x. You can get them for cheaper than Riteks.

  8. I agree on the Ritek's. You can get 100 of Ritek Ridata burn at 2x on Pioneer and Toshiba) for $115 at Supermediastore.com

I can use cheaper media (DVDPro, SuperMedia, MediaPro) but the Riteks seem the most compatible in other people's players.
