  2. Are you looking at a computer screen or a TV screen? If on a computer, the video might be interlaced <or> bad quality. If on a tv then its probably just bad quality. Let me know.

  4. I think I have the same problem you've described:

I create a video using my Canopus DVREX Professional non-linear
editing system...and have it out it as an AVI.

I then bring the AVI into DVD Movie Factory 2 SE, create menu's ect.,
    and burn to a DVD.

When I play it on my TV, I get staggering on all "motion" shots.

When I play the same authored disc on my PC, I see a "combing"
(horizontal lines) in the same motion spots.

I haven't figured out what's causing this yet. Have anybody else?

  5. I am having the similar problems...still trying to work it out i have been on it for two weeks and no joy...I have narrowed it doen to Avisynth resizing
or corruption in my avi file
How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?

That problem is usually caused by the two half-frames in an interlaced movie have been swapped. Somewhere in the MPEG2 encoder settings, there should be an option to set the frame order. Top frame or bottom frame first. Field-A or field-B first. Something like that.

Agree with Svuppe on this one. It is a common interlacing problem and is quite easy to solve

  10. This also sounds like an effect you get if you use PICVideo MJPEG codec and make a DVD. PicVideo Mjpeg gives great results until you convert that avi into mpeg. It has to do with how the compression scheme works. Huffyuv does not have this problem. If you are using the PicVideo (or perhaps some other codec) try using Huffyuv.

You can read about the issue on the Huffyuv site.

Although I don't swing that way.... I believe your onto something here...I use Picvideo mpjeg....

You are a legend I can't wait to go home and test this theory out.....Wouldn't you say that if you did a CVD seeting Max 2552 the same error would happen???
