ATI capture hangs when finished

I've been capturing vids with my ATI AIW for several months. One day, I had scheduled a capture . . .and when I went to check the results, my Win98SE box was hung as the capture finished. . completely locked up, keyboard mouse and vid (but the sound kept going!). In any case, I started testing and anytime I do a scheduled capture, regardless of format, it produces the same result. I re-installed MMC6.3 which did nothing.

The only I can think of that changed is I installed the new version of NAI VirusScan4.5.1 and also some of the MS updates such as IE5.5SP2 and some critical updates.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot without rebuilding????

try installing MMC 7.1 (to a new directory) and the DVD 4.1 update to the 7.1 directory. you should still be able to use the vfw/wdm combo drivers 4.12.6292
