Could anyone please tell me, in your opinion, what would be the best method of converting a file that I've downloaded off of kazaa (avi) and turning it into a VCD. I'm tired and fed-up with trying to do all kinds of different ones. For instance, is there one where I can just encode and burn all in one program where I dont have to worry about the audio and video sync being all messed up. (like one that would have an option to correct that problem without having to re-encode the audio to wav)
Any information and your opinion would be greatly appreciated![/b]

Dude, you have been a member for all of 3 days and you are frustrated? You disrespect the forum and the members by not taking the time to even read a few posts. If you would have, you would have found there are several ways around this. Some people took months out of their lives to create those guides and here you come wanting an instant spoonfed answer.
If you are getting audio drift in your encodes, then you are gonna have to demux it and then put it back together properly during the encode. Use TMPGenc. I'm not gonna tell you more than that, the answer is in the forum.
Besides, avi downloads from Kazzaa are probably warez/bootleg movies and not permitted on the board so dont be surprised if your thread gets locked. -

Files downloaded from kaaza can be troublesome to convert. Many have bad frames that will throw the movie off sync. They also tend to have the audio encoded using a variable bit rate which is not handled well by encoders such as TMPG. These films will need to have the audio stripped and converted to an uncompressed constant bit rate wav file before you can use it. Still others use an ac3 audio which can cause problems for newbies. There is no easy method to convert many of these videos. I hate to say it but it will probably take some time for you to learn how to convert these types of videos. Look at the guides on the left on converting. If you run into a particular problem you can't find an answer to let us know what it is and we will try to help you.
