I currently am using Pinnacle Studio 8 as my analog capture software and my editing/authoring program. When you get done doing the menus and chapters, there is a "Make Disc" option that creates all of the DVD files for you. This usually takes about 5 hours to complete. I was reading that TMPgenc can do this process as well? Sometimes even better that Studio 8. Is this true? What is TMPgenc's main use? And if it can do this process, can I keep my Menu's and chapters that I created?
Thanks for the info.

TMPGEnc is an mpeg encoder whose main function is to encode AVIs into MPEGs. It can also cut/ join muilplex and demux, but MPEG encoding is still its main function. Pinnacle Studio, however, is what you want to edit, add effects, menus and such, and finalize your film. Dont confuse yourself as to what they do. They have seperate abilities, and I'd stick to using Studio for what you are doing.
