If all i do is cut out some portions from my clip and the entire clip is 1 hr long i find it a lot of time wasted if i have to render the whole (DV) movie. Is there some way by which one can getaway without rendering the whole film just cut and save![]()
Is some other (free program better for such purpose?

Sure there's a way. After you render your movie. Use the razor tool to cut out the portion of the film you don't want to use. It keeps the rest intact. Or use the razor tool to segregate the portion of the movie you want to make an adjustment to.

Premier will need to re-render the movie after you edit or make any changes. Unfortunately, rendering for a finished product doesn't work like rendering for a preview.
