Hi There,
I have had a Panasonic e30 for a few months now and have been pleased with the quality and have recorded many old vhs tapes.
I now wish to edit discs onto my new pc (with a Pioneer ao6 burner) and add menus and chapters (song breaks) especially on some music disc's
From now on my intention is to now start recording from dvd-ram to the hardrive, edit and record onto disc.
I have been told by a friend that the panasonic doesn't actually record disc's digitally but as an avi/analogue file. Therefore he added if I use the panasonic e30 to capture video then transfer to hardrive the quality will drop greatly. He said I was better off with a capture card.
I didn't think this was the case and when I checked the properties of one disc recorded on the pan e30 it did read it as a mpeg2.
I have a very basic knowledge of the pc but I am willing to learn.
Am I going down the right path with what I have?? Any advise and experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Bluey
