  1. I just got a new Pioneer DVR-105 and tried to burn an SVCD in bin/cue format using MMB and Firestarter and both respond with:

Error: Drive failed to accept cue sheet variant - Please Report.

Is this a problem with my drive? Is this a software problem? What in the world am I supposed to do?

    Thanks.

IS the superdrive your only drive? Ive gotten this error when i have my super drive as the drive for these apps. But when i use my combo drive, they work fine. Its not the drive, but the drivers that these programs load.

Not sure how stable they are with superdrives. Id contact Ross, homepage.mac.com/rnc about missing mpeg tools and tell him whats happening and see what he suggests.

  3. Yeah, I sent an email to Rnc but nothing has happened yet, he hasn't gotten back to me. However the documentation with MMB says that the 104 is problematic, but the 105 is ok.

The superdrive is my only burner that'll work in X so I really can't test these things.

check the cue files with textedit and look for the line(s) "Flags DCP" (or something like that) and completely delete them if you see them, those flags cause trouble burning with cdrdao (mmb) if they are ever present.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
