Hi ,
I need to burn one large AVI file that has the following properties:
- 384 X 288 pix
- 25 fr/sec
- 386 kbps
- video sample size 24bit
- video comp XVID
- audio 1411 kbps, 16bit, PCM, stereo
- time length 45 min.
The file weighs ~ 1 Gb.
I would like to have it on one SVCD.
Is it possible ?
When I use Nero 6 with the plugin/conveter, it starts the process, then aborts saying the media is too small to hold that file.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

sorry m8 its no go on that one you will need to split it down to more that 1 disc see the bitrate calcs in the tools section
also you prob better converting it with tmpge to svcd as you have more controlwhats that your reading hope its work (s**t caught again) -
You wont be able to fit a 1gb avi onto a cd, but it should fit in SVCD format. Rencode to SVCD using TMPGenc templates - the SVCD template allows you to fit 50mins onto a 74min cdr. So your 45 min avi should encode nicely to fit onto a cdr.

The bulk of your AVI seems to be in the audio (decompressed WAV). You have to go to MP2 for SVCD. The best choice would be to get tooLAME and use that as the MP2 audio encoder for TMPGenc.
