    Hi,

    Playing the original DVD on a P3 550 machine plays fine but with the copied compressed version from DVD Xcopy Xpress lags. Does the compression require extra computer resources to play? It's not the copied DVD because it plays fine on a standalone player and a faster machine as well.

    No the compression should not matter. Are you playing direclty from the dvdr disc? or have you also tried copy to the hd and played it?
