    Is there some kind of website with compiled imformation on DVD media? For example, who manufactures certain media or what is the compatibility of media in certain recorders and set top players? It seems every other post are questions like "Whats the best media?" and "Where to buy?" It would be nice if all this information were compiled on a webiste or even a FAQ. Thats asking too much is it?

    not that I have a knack for pointing out the obvious, but if you haven't checked out the 'DVD media' section of this website you are missing out on most of the data that you are looking for. You can pretty much determine who is making what media by looking at the database 8)
