  1. Anybody have idea how to make photo gallery using DVD maestro ?

I don't need DVD with photo album - what I need is DVD with menus, movie, subtitles ... all that I know how to do except photo galery with a few pictures and standard navigation (using left-right to browse pictures) - in a form as it is present in "normal" DVD releases ...

    arminio,

It is really quite simple as you say you know every aspect of Maestro...

Just make for every photo a background picture (eg. Photo + some button graphics (previous and next button)).
In Maestro make for every photo a menu (with your photo+buttons as background image) and generate the button actions...
Then link every "next" button from this menu to the next menu, except for the last picture (which links to the first menu, obviously)
link every "previous" button from this menu to the previous menu, except for the first picture (which links to the last menu, obviously)
Then link first-start to first menu (so your DVD starts with it)

I make all my photoalbum pictures with Paint Shop Pro, because it is capable of using layers...
So in PSP, first make a nice looking menu (the buttons) and then use another layer for the photo's (so you don't have to create each menu again).

  3. Thanks for reply but this still doesn't acts as real photo gallery - I mean, navigation is performed using next/prew buttons but will it work with left/right keys on remote ?
Also, if I make this as menus, I assume I need to navigate from next to prew button and press enter on them ... but reall photo galleries does not work like that - you navigate through pictures using simply left/right keys and nothing else.

Aha, now I understand what you want...

But that IS possible!!! In the menuedit window in Maestro select the buttons tab and select Auto Action... So you could make a menu (as described earlier) but without the visible button graphics... Make 3 "fake" buttons(so they're not visible during play)... start the menu with the middle fake button. Let's say fakebutton 1=left (autoaction), fakebutton 2=middle (NO autoaction) and fakebutton 3=right (autoaction). button 2 should ONLY point to button 1 and 3.

Start your menu by linking to button 2 of that menu...
So your menu comes up and selects button 2 and waits... If you select left/right on your remote, the according button is selected and Auto Actioned...

Of cos' do you have to link button 1 to the previous and button 3 to the next menu...

    et Voila!!!
