Other than the obvious larger hard drive, any other compelling reasons to sell my DMR-HS2 and get an E80H?
I was also wondering if the menus were the same on both recorders.

1. No black level bug on the E80
2. High speed dubbing without re-encoding from the HDD to a DVD-R in Compatible mode
3. Manually add chapter marks to a DVD-R when dubbing from HDD in Compatible mode
And yes, the E80 retains the spreadsheet style menu (finalized DVD-R) of the HS2. -
and the negative .... the DMR-E80 also omits the Firewire input which the HS2 has. Maybe you don't care about this.

I don't see the firewire as that big of a deal. The notice of quality from your home camcorder using RCA plugs versus a firewire connection is very, very, very minimal. You won't notice it at all.
If the firewire allowed high speed transfer to the HD, or use the camcorder tape and see it as another HD...then it would be another story.
I can't see any reason to absolutely insist on the firewire connection. -
