I have used VirtualDub to seperate the video and audio from a Huffyuv-captured AVI file so that I can run it through Gordian Knot to encode the video to DivX. Well, when I select the video file that I want to encode (one of them is 4.95GB in size, and the other is only 481MB), the window that is supposed to show the preview and allows you to see where you are cropping the video just shows a blank tan-colored box where the picture should be.......and the length of the video is only being reported in Gordian Knot as 17mins 2 secs, but it is actually almost 43 minutes long.

Does anyone know what would cause this? It's really starting to annoy me, cause I can't get any encoding done.....

  2. Hi xunil76,

Go to the Huffy config options (I usually access it via Virtualdub - Video, compression), and tick the "Always suggest RGB for Output" box then try to reopen the file in Gordian Knot - it should work then.

    hope this helps,

It will be fine. I have it checked all the time for my caps and haven't noticed any problems with it.
