    when i turn my pc on it boots up, and then comes up with the login screen(because i have multiple users). It says under my name(chris)that I have 15 new messages, but i dont!

    Can anyone help?

    Where are you checking for your messages. The ones referred to by XP are for your MSN messenger hotmail account. Not email messages in outlook.

    yeh, i no but it says i have 15 new messages for my email, but when i checked them at hotmail.com, there were no new ones

    Right click on the messenger icon in the system tray and click on check email there.

    It shows the amount of new messages you had when you checked your inbox last time (and they are not there anymore because you must have read them when you checked it), i know mine does.

    i have fixed it now, just get someone to send u a email, sign in on msn/windows messenger but dont answer the email, then log off and all should be fixed!
