    I am using premiere 6.0 to capture from my sony camcorder....I currently use TMPGEnc to convert the avi file but it takes about 2 hours to convert. Is there something as fast as SVCD2DVD????

    I don't think SVCD2DVD Encodes the video. It just demuxes/muxes and creates vob/ifo files.

    Therefore, if you want to encode from avi to mpeg2, nothing is as fast as not doing it.

    The MainConcept encoder is much faster than TMPGEnc. I even think it might come with Adobe P. You should be able to get a trial from the MainConcept site.
