    I have just purchased a nec nd-1300a dvd writer. I am very pleased with it except that in windows xp it shows as 2 drives(cdrom and dvd-r drive).

    Is this normal, can anyone help

    It shows it as 2 different drives at the same time? Or shows the same drive with different names at different times?

    The first one is very strange, but the last one is not uncommon in the least.
