  1. Trying to use CCE to convert from Divx to SVCD, but came up on a snag that I don't really know how to fix.

I am following the guide given here as close as I can. The problem comes up after I try to add my .VDR file to the CCE window.

It comes up with an error:

"According to the registry, the type of file specified in AVIFileOpen does not have a handler to process it."

I have no idea what this means, which is why I place it here and ask if anyone has an answer how to fix this.

The issue that may be causing this is that the source file seems to be PAL framerate (25fps) as I checked it in File information in Virtual Dub.

Which brings up another problem. If I am to encode this, should I stick with this CCE process till I figure it out?

Or should I run with the TMPGenc method outlined on this site? And should I stick with the PAL framerate or should I try and convert within TMPGenc or some other method?

I have an APEX 1500 Standalone player, and according to most, it seems to run PAL with the least problems, though I have yet to try it out.

So if anyone could answer these questions for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

  2. And 1 more thing:

When I load the source file into Vdub, it comes up with a frame size of 576 X 240

Which if I am not mistaken, is not proper PAL frame size.
