I noticed that when creating a bin/cue with VCDImagerEasy, I have a choice to use a MPEGAV directory instead of an MPEG2 directory for non-compliant DVD players. Does this mean I can get any player that can play a VCD to play a SVCD if I just check this option?? Because if so, that would be awesome. And it also has a choice to add an empty SEGMENT directory for some DVD players that want one, I always check this just in case. It cant do any harm, right? And by harm I mean the DVD player not accepting it because of the empty SEGMENT directory. I also always enable PBC because I think my DVD player needs it to navigate chapters. The good thing about my DVD player is that it doesn't pause between chapters so I can put them in between scenes and they will seamlessly play through.

No, you cannot get any VCD player to play SVCDs.
The proper folder to use for SVCDs is MPEG2, but some players require it to be MPEGAV. If you search about this issue in the forums, you wil find more info on it. The last time it was discussed was a while ago.
