this dvd just came out, and i am able to rip it with smartripper, but i cant frameserve it correctly with DVD2AVI.
it just stops at halfway through the process, DVD2AVI shows that this dvd has 2 vob cell ID's.
did anyone rip this dvd to divx or vcd? if so, plz help.

I ripped it with DVDDecryptor and transcoded it with DVD2one then burned it with Recordnow and it works fine.

I have had in the past a troubled DVD not sure what the name was but I had the same problem your running into so what I did was to use the vob's that d21 had produced and then use dvd2avi
Just my 2cents.......
Hope this helps -
He means DVD2one. There you go, use DVD2One and set the output file size high so that it doesnt compress, then the vob files it produces should work for you.
Or DVDShrink if you dont have D21 and don't wanna spend the $$ -
plz don't double post...

are you ripping in "movie mode" in smartripper? -
I tried to rip it and got seriously screwed up.
..of course it was a Best Buy that I tried to rip it from, and a security guard tackled me. The case poked me pretty hard in the ribs. -
oh, sorry for the double post.
i ripped in file mode, what's movie mode going to do? -

Of course the real question here is why anyone would want to "backup" that crap movie (or purchase it in the first place).

thanks, movie mode seemed to work.

Hey, Daredevil was o.k.! A Black Kingpin was a jip and some of the acting could have been better, but Collin Farrel was great as Bull'sEye and Jennifer Garner was totally hot! The action was really good too. As for ripping it, I've found Clad DVD.Net works on movies that Smartripper fails on. Matter of fact, CladDVD and CladDVD.Net (now it's a .NET program) has not failed me ever. Plus, it automatically frameserves after ripping with no user intervention. It's free too.

I actually liked the movie, its the first time I ever saw Ben Affleck make an attempt at acting.
