SONY DRU510A firmware

Hi every one,

I have updated my sony DRU510a to latest firmware 1.0c.
But now it does no longer BURN PRINCO media, at any speed x1 , x2 x4.
I get a message error :
error 10 on sector 22 ...
Is any one got the first firmware version 1.0a ??

I bought a DRU-510A that came with 1.0c firmware..

And i CANNOT burn at x4 at all... get that error -10 shit.....

Only works on x2

I just bought a Sony DRX-510UL (the external one) which has the 1.0c firmware.

It burns 4X Fuji DVD-R at 4x.

But I haven't used Princo or any other 4x media yet except the Fuji.

It also does Fuji DVD+RW at 2.4 (the stated speed).

i did the same exact thing, same exact problem, 510a with recordnow, error 10, i want my old firmware back.

Hmm, I bought the Sony DRU-510A last month and it came with firmware 1.0c. I haven't had any problems burning at 4x. I'm using Verbatim 4x DVD+R discs...

Wow, I thought I did something wrong, but I am having the same problem with my DRU510A...

I believe that the Sonys have a problem with Princos.

I use Riteks and TDK and burn at 4x flawlessly.

LAST NIGHT WHEN USING A PRINCO FOR THE FIRST TIME I HAD EN ERROR BURNING WITH CLONEDVD, ON A 93% BURNING STAGE. BUT I HAVE ALL THE FILM ON THE DVD, AND ALSO CAN SEE ALL THE FILM ON PLAYER. ( MASSAGE SAYS " ERROR UDF 5 65536" ).

Can someone tell me what the benefit is of upgrading to fiemware 1.0c?

Also, in the instructions it says to uninstall Packet Writing software, so are RecordNow DX, Nero 6, DVD Decrypter, DVDShrink considered to be Packet writing software?
