    Hello,
    I have got this problem for a while, but this time it really bother me,
    I use #1 DVD ripper to convert to svcd file, afer I rip some dvds and play back my audio has a a 1-2 sec silence each 8-9 seconds, I think it is some kind of protection on the original dvd.
    MAybe I use wrong tools to do it, or maybe there is a way around this really annoying problem,

    please let me know, any direction would be appreciated

    what's "#1 DVD ripper" ??? what exact proggies are u using??? (from start to finish)

    also, there's no special encryption on commercial DVDs that'll cause this sort of problem.

    do you get this problem in PC...?? in standalone DVD player?

    make sure your dvd player supports SVCDs ... look here to find out: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

    how fast you burn SVCD at??? try max 4X.
