encoding mpeg2 with tmpgenc

hi ime new to the forum and am having difficulties joining 3 x svcd films together with tmpgenc plus 2.57 iam running a tyan tiger 2x mp2800
4gig ddr2100 reg samsung
i join the files in tools no prob there then wen i play bak the film 30 mins is missing off the end
any ideas would be grateful

I had a simliar problem. i could play al the file seprately all the way through, but when i "merged" them, I good chunk of on particulat segemnt was chopped off too soon and missing.

When TMPGEnc assembles, it looks at the detailed information contained in the header section of each video file. And appears to only combine godd segements.

My solutionfor this was a MPEG Header repair program that just recomplied it video without rencoding it. I used this valuable, less than a meg size program, only once and can not remeber what it is called, where i got it from, how i located it,

Someone out there might give a clue to what program i am talking about.
