hey all,
I have used virtualdub many times before... and now all of a sudden I am not getting any audio from it! I go into:
audio> volume meter
and it is going up and down! but yet no volume is playing. It records the audio when recording, but not straight playing.
I open up a different video in player, and it works fine! is there any way to get my audio playback back in virtualdub?

Look at the sound mixer properties of your audio card and see if you have turned off something ... like WAV input.
Hope this helps. -
I use GoldWave to adjust the volume on the audio source to a proper level before i capture. The volume setting is found in Tools->Device controls.

thx aklendathu,
that was the problem! i had remembered, i reinstalled my audio card... so it defaulted the audio in to mute. Its strange how my audio in still worked with my other capture device though!
but anyways, its fixed
thx again
