  1. I think it's called that, it's the software that converts movie files in to Mpeg1 files, so that you can use VCDeasy.
If anyone can help me with this I would be very grateful.

    Here goes,,

When I use Tmpgenc to convert a file, VCD does not reconise it as a Mpeg1 file. I've used Gspot to verifiy the ouput file is a Mpeg1, but VCDeasy won't see it and if I try to drop and drag it won't let either.

I've tried changing the file prop. of the output file, but still no good.

How do I sort this out or can I use some other program to change avi/mpegs files to Mpeg1 strandard.

    Any ideas?

Did you use any of these guides?
    Hello.

  3. Yes its the first thing I used as a guide, every thing was fine and I was able to burn VCD and use Tmpgenc no problem, but then one day it stopped working. I've tried reinstalling it, no use. Is there a way I could have changed the setting in VCD, Windows or Tmpgenc so that VCD won't recongise Mpeg 1 files?

  4. What do you mean by "stop working"...?
    Froze up?
    Caused an error?

    What actually happened?

  6. try to use DVD2avi to frameserve your mpeg to TMPGENC. What this will do is create a "fake" file that TMPGENC can see and it should then let you do whatever you were looking to do.

You mean VCDEASY does'nt see it?("VCD doesn't see Mpeg1"...does'nt make sense?)
OK....try as macleod suggested and use the .d2v as the video source in TMPGEnc

IF you aren't using it already, try using the project wizard in TMPGEnc. There is a VCD settings that should auto configure whatever settings make the mpg1 file into the VCD standard.

VCD doesn't list the Mpeg1 file in the (add file)box when I try to load a file in to VCD, do you understand?
The select box only allows you to select Mpeg1'S , Tmpgenc outputs the file in Mpeg1 format, but if I open VCD it to add files it does come up on the list.
