  1. i ve a lit' question, i ve used the search browser and finally decided to ask cuz i think its a very easy question =)

i ve the dvdlab last version, i would like to burn some dvdr with my Pioneer 106D, i dont want any kind of menus.... my dvd plays when i insert this one in my dvd player. NO MENUS for me...

1/ When i delete the root menu in the menu section (in dvdlab) and make a link between the movie and the first play. I burn this one ---> IMgTool--->Dvd decrypter--->Pioneer106D.

result: the dvd plays on my computer but doesnt work on my dvdplay standalone. My player detects the dvd, all is ok. but dont succeed in playing the movie...

Another little question, i ve bought my pionneer106D but its doesnt burn dvd at 4x... is it normal? firware version? or just a lie from Pionneer?

  2. 1) I don't understand what your first question is asking. Could you please re-phrase.

    2) The DVD burner will scan the disc you put in the drive and determine what the fastest burning speed is for that disc. In order for the burner to be able to burn at 4X, you'll need to buy 4X certified media. If you buy the 2.4X or 1X media, the burner will only burn at that speed. So I don't think it's your burner.

  4. In DVD-Lab if you don't want any menus, the easy way would be to go to the connections view, delete the root menu, then connect the first play button to your movie.

Compile the DVD and then burn the VOB, IFO and BUP files to DVD in the VIDEO_TS folder. Also, don't forget to include an empty AUDIO_TS folder as well.

  5. Yes, that's correct. Another way of doing it would be to have a black menu screen (for first menu) with an "invisible" (black) play movie button with auto-activate on and zero time out. There would be just a moment of this black screen and the movie would then start playing automatically.

OTOH, I suspect this would also be an auto-looping movie (haven't tried it yet, but since a movie always returns to the menu when done this would just start playing over again. Probably not what you want in this case but it does fall under the heading of useful tricks for others).
