If the blue lettering under Galactaca's name means that this is a moderator commenting then I have a problem.Originally Posted by galactica

Authority in the hands of the immature will not solve the problem. I choose to be immature but I am not a mod.
Just my opinion and not trying to be rude. But if this is the new deal then the mods should agree on a standard as it relates to issuing a flag or at least setting standards that are understood by posters. Trying to have fun with it at the mod level is sending the wrong signal.

tgpo is tripping on his own sense of power and going overboard, he should have his moderator privlages removed. (how's that for a <edit> tgpo option? heh)

Yes I understand. But authority has its requirements.
If its a game - great. I can play it. If its meant to be a serious attempt to control the board then I feel it should be simply that. Serious.
If in fact the system was instituted as a reaction to a perceived problem then there is no room for jest. If its a game. Hey why not. Let's all have fun.
I do not believe that was the intent. So at least at the mod level the games should stop.

jeex edited his poll options after twenty-something people voted.
The second option I chose said something like:
Yes I violated the rules, warning remains, thread should be locked.
Now it says: "yes, i'm a tgpo **** smoker. my voting is biased".

Is that fair jeex?

I don't see any problem. If you wanna see out of control power wacko mods/admins go to the germanshepherds.com forum!
There's nothing wrong with mods and admins playing around, and if they were really pissing people off we are free to leave and go elsewhere. Internet Message board's are a dime a dozen...

1. continuing to bump your topic(reply to your own topic)
2. hijacking topics

4. violating smaller rules of individual forums (ie, politics in a off topic forum)

Since there are a lot of moderators, there is sure to be some bias when it comes to the subjective ways to get warnings. But its generally understood that if you break a forum rule (the ones you see above your POST A REPLY) you will get a warning.

Again, just trying to add a little humor to an already humorous topic.

I joke about the police but I sure has heck slow down if I know there is likely one up ahead.

As far as anyone calling jeex an a-hole, I'd have to agree for the following reasons:
1. He changed the poll to insult those who had already voted ("against" him).
2. He started this thread. I don't know if there are any boards that get as many of these whiners as DVDRHelp. It seems as though everyone who gets a warning starts one of these "the mods *cough*tgpo*cough* are jerks, I wasn't wrong!" threads.
Maybe instead of a warning, there should be a "Get on with your life" card.
