tgpo warned me and locked my thread! i dont think i violated forum rules of. "no warez. no politics. no religion" as stated by tgpo.
i could see what "chriscjgs" said being constrewed as politics.. but nothing i did..
i'd like to hear your opinion about the matter.. i have included a poll.It is all propaganda and they are all the same. Who cares what George Bush is doing illegally with the flag? What about flag burners?
There was a debate on flag burning as a crime here in Australia. Some folks here suggest jailing them. I say NO!
--- i sent him this pm---
i was sure you would warn me & lock my thread.
how exactly is george w. bush signing a flag and a pole asking if you like him or not considered politics?
discussing a crime (i'm not sure if signing a flag is actually a crime) is not against forum rules..
asking if you like a certain person is not against forum rules.. just because he happens to be a politician shouldnt count against me, we arent talking about political issues & topics..
i demand my warning be removed.. i will take this all the way to the supreme court of baldrick!

tgpo is tripping on his own sense of power and going overboard, he should have his moderator privlages removed. (how's that for a <edit> tgpo option? heh)

The rules is the rules here at https://www.videohelp.com/ and I know the subject is all about the flag, the illegal use of it.
George W Bush is politics whether you agree with me or not regardless on issue. George Bush might not know the law on the flag anyway and why this an issue here.
If someone want to discuss politics: visit another website. There is another forum where politics can be discussed. This website is in Australia.
Check out: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/. You have to be a member and to make 50 posts to access these special forums: The World in Turmoil.
The DVDRHelp.com rules and the warning system should stay.

I have moved this thread to the feedback forum.
@ jeex:
The rules of the board is that there is to be no discussion on politics. YOU and many others may not think that this is fair, but this rule was put in for a good reason (basically, there were some pretty terrible flamewars and a lot of bad blood).
I don't think you should necessarily put shit on tgpo for giving you a warning. You did break a rule.
If you don't think that the rule (no politics, no religion) is "fair", then feel free to discuss.
Best regards.Michael Tam

I can see where you are coming from, but I looked up the definition and..
Definition number two at www.dictionary.com:
The activities or affairs engaged in by a government, politician, or political party
As you are discussing the action of a politician (GWB signing the flag), I think it does violate the rules. Plus, that is a hair-pin trigger away from turning into a debate on flag burning and defacement. And that is definatly politics."A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

As I've been asked for my opinion:
Personally I think issuing a yellow was harsh.
Had you not started with what could be construed as an inflammatory thread title it would have been even harsher.
I've seen a tonne of topic's closed for being about politic's, mostly by Baldrick and for what I can tell no cards were issued.
Oh, and your terminolgy in the tgpo option in this poll is unneccessary and clearly a petty attempt at offence, do you want a second yellow?
When did you ask tgpo to consider removing it?
A week ago, yesterday?
If it was within the last 72 hours it would have been wise to wait for a response, for 'your appeal to be heard' before you created this silly poll.
If tgpo refused I feel you would have had grounds to make your feelings known, as I say, I think the decision was a little harsh but crying to your mom straight away (by way of this thread) won't help your case.
Will
Edit:
BTW, I couldn't vote.
You haven't enough options and need at least one that says:
I should have my card removed but the thread should stay locked.
Then I might consider it.
As I say I agreed with you 100% before I saw the format of this thread but my support for you is dwindling by the minute.

Actually up until just a few days ago we were still issuing written warnings. We then discussed the new system in the moderator forum and decided that we would no longer give verbal warnings, becasue with the new system there is no need. So from now on we'll be giveing out only card warnings. That would explain why there are others who didn't get carded for previous rule breaking posts. Jeex just happen to be one of the first after this decision. Nothing against him, it was just one of the first after the decision was made.
-
It's part of a 'no tolerance' policy that the moderators (well most) have agreed to. To make the new warning system effective (and also fair) each infringement of the rules now will result in a yellow card instead of the patchy 'some people warned, some not' that was happening on here.
Personally, it's a warning, if Jeex hadn't have brought it up I don't think that many people would know he had of been warned seeing that only mods/admin and the user who recieved the warning can see the yellow card.
EDIT: Well, tgpo beat me too it
-
maybe Im missing something here..
I count 6 total warning on your account. Its no wonder you started a post like this.
I think ill give you another one just to make the stack of yellow warnings look even
